Aloha, the Kokonut Koalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization community-based advocacy group dedicated to championing the maintenance and repairs to the Koko Crater Stairs.

We have extended our GoFundMe campaign to a goal of raising $26,000.

Funds will be used to pay for engineering and permits for immediate short term emergency repairs for the stairs. We are working in partnership with the City and County of Honolulu.

Our long term goal is to completely rehabilitate the trail.

The Kokonut Koalition works to preserve, protect, and enhance the community's access to iconic Hawaii trails and landscapes for current and future generations. We work to educate the public and public agencies on past and current uses of such sites to allow continued respectful use of these public outdoor recreation opportunities.
